Programs Offered:
The Addictions and Problem Gambling Services of Ottawa works in partnerships to improve the well-being of individuals, family and community. We provide a confidential and supportive environment to help clients make choices about gambling, drug and/or alcohol use. Goals may include harm reduction, moderation or abstinence. Bilingual counselling and treatment services are available for youth, parents, adults, family members and couples. Services include assessment, treatment planning and referral, group counselling and individual counselling.
Internship Activities:
The intern can participate in: intake services, facilitation of client information groups, assessment, treatment planning, case management and referrals, individual outpatient counselling, co-facilitating group therapy.
Language(s) used at the site:
English and French, Bilingualism preferred.
Term Requirements:
Agency only interested in students that wish to complete both terms. Students will participate in team clinical supervision meetings.
